Automobile Mechanics Teacher

My name is LUIGI RUCCI, I’m currently working as an AUTOMOTIVE INSTRUCTOR at LAURIER MACDONALD CAREER CENTER. My 20 years plus of experience in the automotive industry as a first class automotive technician includes working for V.W. (14 years) and GENERAL MOTORS (PONTIAC, BUICK,G.M.C. division) 10 years.

During my years as a technician, I have acquired and demonstrated the ability to critically analyze and evaluate theoretical and practice issues to which I intend to pass on to my students. I display high levels of enthusiasm, motivation, determination and resourcefulness in all my activities. I am both an independent worker and a team player with sound professional judgment am also a responsible, compassionate and dedicated individual who will strive to establish good working relationships between students and myself.

My present hobbies include restoration of old relics from the 70, 80, 90; engine rebuilding, transmission rebuilding, automotive bodywork and painting. Restoring old cars gives me both pleasure and tranquillity. I take much pride in both my professional and personal work and hope to pass this on to future generations.
