Hello, future automotive technicians! My name is Alex, and I have been passionate about the automotive industry for over 35 years. I have spent the last 11 years teaching students just like you at Laurier Macdonald Vocational Center, and I could not be more excited to share my knowledge and experience.

My journey began as a certified automotive technician, where I honed my skills for 18 years. Working hands-on with vehicles taught me not just the technical aspects of automotive repair, but also the importance of problem solving and attention to detail. After those years in the shop, I took on new challenges at the same dealership, transitioning to roles as a service advisor and later as a service manager. These positions allowed me to deepen my understanding of customer service, team leadership, and the inner workings of the automotive business.

Throughout my career, I have learned that the key to success in this field is a blend of passion, continuous learning, and a willingness to adapt. I encourage you to embrace every opportunity, whether it is in the classroom or in the shop. Each lesson learned will serve as a building block for your future.
