Tiscione, Peter
Hairdressing Teacher
I always wanted to be a fashion designer from a very young age. My drawing skills were never great, so my next move was to embark to beautify a woman’s hair. I have been a teacher for over 30 years, though 40 were spent in the hair industry. I have competed as a hairdresser on many stages throughout my career. I am also a graduate of the Hair Arts & Sciences program where I received my credentials to judge hairdressing competitions all over Canada. I hosted 2 Radio talk shows, where I contributed to informing listeners all about hair and hair products.
I also have been the owner of 3 hairdressing Salons throughout my career. Lastly, I was a hairdressing expert for Canada in mentoring studenrs to compete nationally in the Skills Olympiades. My passion has always been hair. My mission is to be recognized for my talents and sharing my love of it with my students and clients.
I am very proud of winning the first gold medal at the Olympiades with one of our students. I was also received at City Hall by then Mayor, Gerald Tremblay to sign the Golden Book with a student who won the gold medal at the Olympiades.
“Do what you love, let the blood fill your veins with the passion of wanting to create. Do not give up , tomorrow will be a new day and continue to ask yourself, why and for what reason am I here in the first place?”
