Anania, Antonella
Hairdressing Teacher
“When I look at the architecture, the structure of buildings that my father worked on, I saw a whole different look on structure and shape. At this point, I was building spatial orientation without knowing it existed.” I started applying structure and shapes to dressmaking at fifteen years old which is where she started in the industry of hair fashion. My mentor and coach, Stephane Scotto Di Cesare, states that everything starts with a vision of a style. We all need to reflect on the process and act.
“My idea was to cut shape into the hair, to use it like fabric and take away everything superfluous.”
“To sculpt a head of hair with scissors is an art form. It’s in pursuit of art.” ~ Vidal Sassoon
My passion is watching students develop their skills, confidence, and independence in this wonderful craftsmanship. I thoroughly enjoy working with the great hairdressing team at LMCC. This profession requires subtlety, harmony, rigor, and perseverance.
